Take a dampened sponge and wet a typical damaged spot....choose a concealed location if possible.......give the wood a good cleaning and continue dampen the wood......
A typical CLEAR finish will give that wet look.......AS IS.......
What does the wood damage look like wet ?.....especially the transition area from the pristine to the damaged......
