Electro-Lift Garage Door Opener

Sid,
If you have the opener I'm thinking of, there is probably a belt inside that's gone. Drop the cover by the four screws in each corner at the top. Chances are, the belt needs to be tightened (three or four screws supporting the motor, and slide the motor away from the large pulley) or the belt is broken. Sears probably won't have it in stock, being an older opener, but another garage door company may have it.
I have one of these mechanisms in my collection, tough ole' fart, still runs great. Hope you can keep 'er runnin.
