You are supposed to lay out your courses of tile to ensure that you end up with border pieces at least the size of a half a tile or larger to ensure you don't have small slivers along the walls. It sounds like you have already laid the tile otherwise. Perhaps you could remove the baseboard and cut small pieces of tile to cover up to the wall. Then when your replace the baseboard you won't see missing areas.
