I'm laughing. I had that identical item in the outlet to begin with.
I was trying to find a solution to remotely control my low voltage outdoor lights. I intalled a remote switch that fed off the original outlet. Everything was great until I read the fine print for the remote switch that said not to use for transformer supplied appliances. So, I pulled out the remote switch but that left me with a double gang box with only one outlet. I figured I needed to install something so another outlet seemed the best thing to do.
