Craftsman riding mower

I have a Craftsman 38" Deck 12 hp engine it would not start before due to bad selanoid.

I replace with new noid and when I turn the key to the on position it start cranking. I thought it was the ignition so I replaced it as well and still the same thing.

Any ideas of why?
