In-Floor Fan

Has anyone heard of an in-floor fan?
Its similar to the ceiling exhaust fan, but fits between two floors for room to room circulation.
Years ago, My sister rented a place that had a fan with a grill on the floor. At certain times, the fan would kick on and balance the upstairs and downstairs temperatures.
I have searched, but can only find a room-to-room exhaust fan. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
