Yes, stellar night would be a good choice for your kitchen counter tops, but as for your smears and water spots you could buy a bottle of acetone from Home Depot and do a good once over and dry them completely that should do it. as for your chips,and this is a common problem for all stone counter tops whether man made or natural, THEY ARE ALL PRONE TO CHIP! if your not careful especially around the edges.
