Crown vs vent problem

4 1/2" crown only needs 'about' 2 1/4" of room.......Can you ?

...Move the vent the scant bit ?

...Trim/cut the "flange" of the vent

...Fill the crown at the area with blocking and notch the moulding

You can also RETURN the crown to the wall....Twice........KindaWeirdDesign statement?
