I wrote on a peice of paper w/ permanent marker and it bled through. I immediatly soaked it in laundrey detergent for 6 hours. Then scrubbed it with a mildly rough scrubbie and a toothbrush you can barely see the marker now. If this doesn't work you will have to sand and refurnish it...Or buy a nice rug. Sorry!
