I've never attempted this before, but I bought a replacement mounting gasket for my badger 5 In-Sink-Erator. The instructions are not too clear. They specify to disconnect the plumbing from the disposal. There are 2 screws that hold on the discharge tube. Would unscrewing these 2 screws do it(or is there a seal that could be broken by doing this?), then unscrew the dishwasher hose, then loosen the mounting ring?
