Our Kenmore series 70 is about 6 years old, we increasingly encounter a problem of streaks appearing on clothes. It seems to occur more if we have a full load in the tub. Lighter, thinner clothes seem to be more at risk. The pattern of the streaks (arcs of length 2 inches to 4 inches long) lead me to suspect that clothes are getting under the agitator and brushing against the central spindle. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Several slacks and shirts have been ruined. Its getting expensive.
Is there a way to lower the spindle cover to prevent clothes from getting underneath.
