Correcting a post tensioned slab as you described can be easliy converted to a retro fitted pier and beam slab.

The structural integrity of your Concrete foundation would be greater than that which your post tensioned slab was originally designed for by inserting "pressure piers" to a depth of between 8' and 10' until you have reached bedrock.

For an in depth review of typical concrete foundation installations and information an excellent source would be http://www.concreteforever.com
