I'm going to try to re-varnish my existing stairway a darker cherry color. It is originally (now) an Oak Wook color however, the enamal has been scraped off and worn down. However, wood looks to be in good condition. My question is what sand paper should I use (if any at all) to sand off existing enamal. I need to know what tools I will need and what step I should take first. Basically, I nee to know "HOW TO".
