My carpet in the basement is getting ruined, everytime it rains, the west end of my basment leaks. Usually it spreads out about five to six feet from the wall, and each time I have to clean the carpet. I have painted the wall with waterproofing paint, I don't know what to do next. I am just about to the point of taking the carpet out in that little area and put down some type of floor tile or squares. I'm afraid the carpet will get moldy enough to start smelling. Please help!
