I am going to bed, but it sounds like your drain to me. Drains suck, the stupid gaskets and seals they give you never work. My guess is your house drain is galvinzed pipe from the wall, and you just stuck plastic or a metal drain in it. The size may not be exact. When I was fighting withmy drains, I used anything that would work. Sometimes they seal themselves, which is quite common believe it or not. You can try wrapping teflon tape around the pipe going into the wall or stuff plumbers putty around the outside of the pipe then wedge it back in the wall. Tighten that nut down good around the drain pipe the best you can. Also check all of your compression gaskets, you may have them in backwards.

I would stick a bucket underneith it tonight and fight with it in the morning when you are refreshed. Teflon tape has stopped many leaks for me on drain pipe, so try that.

If it is your supply and it is copper get a torch and a pipe cutter or call a plumber.

Good Luck
