installing carpet over bluestone

Our bedroom floor is bluestone, laid over a slab. As far as we know, there is no vapor barrier under the stone. The room gets very humid in summer and there is some moisture in one closet corner, coming from toilet condensation in the adjacent bathroom. Any suggestions about either installing a vapor barrier over the bluestone and/or the type of padding and carpet to install. Any other suggestions?
