My wife and I are watching our beautiful new house being built. Recently the bricklayers finished up. Above our five-foot wide box window they layed the bricks vertically and I assume they used an angle (The window top is at about 12 feet, so it's difficult to see up there without a ladder). Above the vertically-layed single layer, the mortar layer is cracked the entire width of the window. Could this be superficial, or is this serious? I have not yet heard a response from the builder.
