Hi I have a 30 year old gas furnace along with a 15 year old airconditioner wich I dont want to put any money into because of the age of these systems. I have done lot's of wiring in the past and I have an idea of how to do this. We also have an old HoneyWell electronic air cleaner which still works. The problem is the fan never shuts off, it just slows down when the furnace or ac shuts down. So every time were done using the system we have to go all the way down to the basement and turn the switch off which controls the transformer, air cleaner and humidifer and if we dont the motor just keeps running very slow. I would appreciate it if you could give some advice of how to wire everything so that everything goes dead when I turn the thermostat to off.
PS: Where the 4 wires connect to the transformer from the thermostat the wire which is suppost to be connected to the motor is not connected to anything.
PSS: We get really bad airflow coming out of our ducts and the filter plus the ac coils are clean and the pulley on the motor is ajusted as big as it goes. So since the motor has no wiring diagrams even under the terminal plate and it is 3 speeds I was wondering if you could tell me how to wire it for the 3rd speed if it isn't already wired for the 3rd speed.
my email is: crazycoolkid63@hotmail.com if you could get back to me please
