Hello i was reading an letter and having a problem the same way. We had an electrial fire in our basement. The fire damage was small but the smoke damage was terrible.

The adjuster is saying the basement and the main floor are to be gutted but the upstairs he will try to fix. Since i am an ashmatic and have all the air puirification sysytems fans and breathing aperatices i feel they are putting my family at risk. especially after they know of the issue. Also they are not replacing the wiring through out the house or are they wanting to replace the ducts so it is very uncertain how i should proceed what should i do since i totaly disagree with the way they should do this. Our house fire was on 10/8 2005 please let me know your thoughts

only some glass ware was salvagable the smoke restoration folks are unable to clean the items lots of smoke.
