I see the suggestion to NOT instal the matching laminate on your stairs and the suggestion to purchase the matching moulding, but...
My question is my stairs are carpeted and undernear is just wood board. They are not finished. I laid laminate on my enire main area of my first floor (where the stirs rise up from) ans I figured the best solution to refinishing hte stairs would be to take the laminate up the stairs (want to eliminate all carpeting from my home includign the stairs). can I cover the existing risers and treading with the laminate and "mounlings" however you do that. OR should I remove the rough carpentry risers and treads and install hardwood risers and treats then finish to match all my finish mouldings around doorways and windows??
