I find interesting the last comments concerning suction i.e. FQ beating a Kirby. The only way they can claim this is byt breaking a Kirby down into a canister unit. Its simple folks a canister vac cannot compete with an upright. An upright provides the shortest distance to the dirt, simple physics folks. Imagine taking a drink of soda from ten foot straw and then with a regular straw. Which would provide the easiest drink? The regular straw of course. Can you then really believe a canister vac can truly provide an efficient cleaning versus an upright? There is so much more that could be said but the bottom line is for cleaning carpets an upright is always the best choice. Above the floor cleaning canisters are ok at nothing more.
