The usual cause is an incomplete rinse as part of the regeneration of the filter; a manganese greensand filter.

The usual causes of that are: a blocked drain line, blocked injector and/or its throat, or an internal leak in the control valve. The best choice is to call the dealer for service. Potassium permangante (the pink) is a poison...
