Man...I've seen bad advice, but this tops 'em all. NEVER...repeat...NEVER USE GASOLINE as a solvent for anything, especially if it is going inside your home. That reply should be listed as a moron's method. It might take the mastic off the tile, but when your house burns down or you get burned, who cares? (Suggestion: Try a belt sande to remove the mastic, or consider using SOME of your old tiles, and mix with some new tiles of a different color to make a design). Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
