Chamerlain Keyless Garage Door Opener for Sears 139.18750 and 139.18718 remotes

Just bought a Chamerlain Clicker Model CLK1C universal keyless entry for Sears GDO
GDO are 139.18571, 139.15706, 139.18605SR
using Sears remote models 139.18750 and 139.18718
Package says compatible with Sears Craftsman models after 1983.
Tried many times to get it working.
Called the Chamerlain phone number on the box.
Put on hold for 15 minutes.
I'm sure the techie would have responded with the answer that it is not compatible with the older Sears units.
Sure enought the old Sears remotes transmit on 315MHz. The Clicker thinks the Sears work on 390MHz. Fixed unit by cutting trace and installing jumper on the board. Works fine.
(btw I'm an electronics engineer)
