Happy T-g to you all.
I bought a new 1/2" Zurn PEX crimper and used it for the first time today. The tool came with a go no-go gauge and a crimp ring that had been crimped by Zurn to show that the crimper was crimping within specs. I made about a dozen crimps today, always crimping perpendicular to the PEX length. However, all of my crimps are very slightly oval and so the gauge fits on one side of the ring, but if I rotate the ring 90 degrees, I have difficulty getting the gauge onto the ring. Even the sample crimp from Zurn is slightly oval. Any ideas what I should do, or, if one side fits the gauge, should I conclude that the crimp is okay??
