Jay is right. In any case you are probably required to get a building permit for this kind of job. In order to get this passed you will need drawings and probably an engineer. Believe me, you don't want to get this project 90% done and then have the building inspector knock on your door and make you "undo" it all (that is if it doesn't undo itself first). There is no way that anyone could properly advise you without seeing it. It is POSSIBLE that the wall isn't actually bearing and that you can remove it. But I can't tell from here.
