Boiler making gurgling and repetitive rattling noises. Posted by mne252006 on December 22nd, 2005 03:42 AM In reply to Bolier Cost by Unregistered-Forward_82 on October 31st, 2004 01:13 AM [Go to top of thread]
There is a pipe leading in directly to my boiler, so I believe that it is a self feeding/automatic fill boiler. My problem is that some of my radiators aren't getting hot, some of them hardly if ever drain, there are loud banging noises in my pipes, and sometimes my whole heating system just sound scary, especially the boiler. I can hear water in it and it does this rattling sound like a lit on a pot of boiling water/ pressure cooker. Every day and night without fail, just as you get to sleep, it will start making noise all over again. Does my boiler need to be drained, replaced what? If so, is there any way I could learn to do it myself? If not, what is a rough estimate for the kind of work that I/ my landlord need done. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
