I called in another company and they said the entire part (coil?) in the air handler is full of tiny holes. he filled it up with leak detector fluid and I provided the industrial strength black light and it just glowed with tiny lights all over the unit.
He said the cost for repair would be about $1800 or I could just limp along adding refrigerant every so often.
Now why wold the unit have thousands of tiny holes?
