I would NEVER use sprayed on texture. I have been spending a lot of time removing it from my house. This is called either popcorn or cottage cheese texture depending where you live. Most people hate it and it will decrease the value of your house. It is usually a sign of poor workmanship or quality. It you want to do a texture, there are probably 100 different ways to do it, and they ALL look better then the blown on. Some ways are with rollers, trowels, brushes, or sponges. The sanded paint is a much softer and better look than than the blown on, and it is FAR less messy.
