folding attic ladder

i am looking for a manufacturer/store that can sell me a pair of hinges for the folding attic ladder in my home. the bottom section hinges are sprung and will not lock in to make the section rigid. the manufacturer of the ladder appears to be a company called (WEL-BILT)from a stamping on the bottom of the ladder, but i cannot locate them on the internet. the stiles are made from 1x4 pine and i cannot find a suitable replacement hinge anywhere. i have contacted two different manufacturers and they are not willing to sell their hinges as a replacement part. i hate to go out and purchase a complete new folding attic ladder just to get the hinges. does anyone have a good source for replacement hinges??
