My house has a heat pump as a heating system. The problem is that lately the heat pump sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. When it doesn't work I can heard a buzz sound; but the fan inside the furnace doesn't turn on. After a while the buzz sound goes away but the fan never activates. And there is no heat in the house. So, I turn the thermostat off for a day and after 24 hours, I turn the thermostat back on and the heat pump goes back to work. I noticed that everytime the heating system is not working... the fan inside the furnace is not circulating. When the heating system works the fan works too. Can you please give me a few tips on how to fix these problem. Thanks, Ivan from Washington, DC.
