We are nearly ready to move into my wife's grandparents old house. The drain we were counting on using in the utlility room for the washing machine could not be snaked out. It evidently runs to some collapsed field tiles (this is an old house out in the country). The septic tank is within 30 feet of this location. The utility room is on a cement slab. What are the cons to running the washing machine drain into the septic tank (I think I'm aware of a couple big ones in our case)? What are some other alternatives? ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
