I think we have found a contractor we like. He was recommended to us from a neighbor and he seems to have good credentials (BBB). He recommended a sump pump and new drain tiles. He told us that was our best option to dry out the basement without knowing exactly what's causing the water. I kinda agree with him because no matter where the water's coming from it's ending up underneath the floor and pumping it out will solve that. I'm still looking into the matter. If you have anymore input I would love to hear it.
