Here in Mohegan Lake , Ny. Just north of New York City. Had problem with basement flood when it would rain. Found htat with PVC pipe taking water from raingutter downpipe far wide of the house the problem was solved. Have now dug trench to bury the pipe - 12 ft - about a foot or so deep. Of course, at some slope.
Whadda you think about any freezing. I don't remember the size PVC pipe : size they sell at Home Depot for this purpose, 4 to 5 inches wide.
