My 70 to 80 year old house has some very old insulation in the attic that is in pretty bad shape and is also covered with left over building materials from a previous remodel done many years before I purchased the house. I am planning to add some insulation and was wondering if it would be better to remove all of the old insulation while I'm cleaning up the trash and start with new insulation.
