I'm building a house in Maryland on what use to be farm land. Right now there is nothing but weeds on the property. I plan on seeding the lawn. What should I do about the weeds before I seed? I was told by an older gentleman that one trick that farmers do is spreading seed before a snow fall and letting the snow carry the seed into the ground. Does this trick really work?
