I am finalizing the material list for finishing my basement and want to review some choices for material to be used - After reviewing information provided from this and other helpful sites, I have decide on 2 1/2" metal studs, fiberglass insulation w/ a vented poly jacket, plastic electrical boxes, and a latex besed "Dry-lok" type sealant for the foundation wall to lessen moisture infiltration. I wondered whether water resistant drywall is necessary? Any final comments and suggestions would be appreciated b/4 I forge ahead.
