I am currently having a basement poured for my family to live in for appr. 3 years then we plan on building a two story house on top. the basement is 30x40. we are going to put subfloor on now with trusses for roof screwed to subfloor with roof on trusses. I would like any information any one can give me pluss i have a few specifics i really would like answered. 1. What is formula for figgering what size main beam to use for subfloor? 2. Should i use a drylock type sealer on walls in basement before using drywall? 3. How does one lay a hardwood floor on concrete? 4. Do I need a vapor barrier between drywall and concrete wall?
And any other things you might think of your self please respond...
