Sandra, did you ever get a response to your question on subflooring? Did you paint or stain your subflooring and if so, is is standing up to heavy traffic? I want to do the same thing, but mine is upstairs and I am wondering if the subflooring is substanital enough so the furniture, etc., does not fall through the floor!
