My husband and I recently purchased a 1950's home in Los Angeles. The house had new carpeting (horrible and cheap)throughout the house and vinyl tile, cheap with horrible grooves. We have successfully removed the carpeting to find almost pristine oak hardwood floors typical of the era. We have only a few areas that need some extra work except for the entrace way which is covered in this tile, applied directly onto the hardwood. How can we best remove this tile with as little damage to the hardwood floor under? We really do not want to replace or cover with another product.
