Hi, I've enjoyed reading some of the past messages on the subject. The one's I've seen are a bit old now.
My new (to me) house has asbestos shinles which have many cracks and some are broken. Is this a health issue? Also, does anyone know if the laws in New York State still allow a homeowner to remove the stuff on their own?
The house was built in 1835 so I have no idea if there is clapboard underneath or what.
