Take the 480 sq feet and divide by the size of ONE foot of board/siding.........
480 ÷ 8/12 = 480 x 12 ÷ 8 = 720 feet of siding..........
Of course a 1x8 doesn't measure EIGHT inches so using the actual dimensions of 7+ inches you get about 800 Lineal feet required....add additional for waste........
