I would like to install picture frame molding below the chair rail molding in my dining room. The bottom of the chair rail is 26" from the top of the baseboard. I have two long walls of 131" and 94", and five shorter wall sections.
I would like to space the molding 4" from the top and bottom, so that the frames would be 18" high (26 minus 4 minus 4).
Do the side spaces have to match this, or can the frames be say 6" apart?
Are there scientific ways to decide how to space the frames?
