You are scaring me Mitch. I am going to assume you mean the actually engine without the chain. In that case there would only be sufficient horespower to ASSIST in powering a pedal driven bike or scooter. Retrofitting the engine would be more work and money than it is worth. For a go-cart you would want a 3-5 horsepower engine.(depends on the weight of the driver). You are better off just buying an engine that has designed for the purpose you have in mind.
