My problem with my lacquered white kitchen cabinets is that the paint is peeling and they're only three or four years old. It's primarily happening on the cabinet doors under the sink and the doors around my island. Is it my imagination or is water to blame? I think the paint was applied by dipping them. Any hope of doing a reasonable job of restoring them? Can a sand the peeled parts and just paint the lacquer paint back on with a good brush? Anybody have any other thoughts?
