hardwood flooring nailer

I am installing 5/8 T&G bamboo flooring, so I rented a senco floor nailer. I started with 2 inch flooring cleats and it wouldn't sink them deep enough, even when I increased air pressure to the 115 psi max. I found some 1 1/2 inch cleats and it is still not countersinking them at all. Is the only other option a manual nailer? Thanks, ewoke. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
