Should I use a surge suppressor to protect my treadmill? In the past I have had numerous problems with circuit boards going "bad" on previous treadmills - I suspect that it was power spikes due to a faulty main breaker and circuit panel, they have since been replaced. Now I'm just a bit paranoid and would rather be too cautious with the new machine arriving next week. I've already run a new dedicated 15 amp circuit just for this machine - would a surge protector be overkill? If not, how many joules of protection do you recommend? thanks
