I am replacing drywall that was water damaged due to Hurricane Rita. one 3 x 9 foot wall in a closet. Can I add styrofoam as insulation? How about foam from packing boxes: I have ecto and the fine black foam on hand. A longtime ago I saw that paper egg cartons were saved and used as insulation. This was more than 20 years ago.

Any info will be welcomed! Happy New Year!
