interior cinderblock wall cracking/painting

Sorry for the incomplete question, I am computer challenged.

My interior walls are painted cinderblock and have the either stippled look or cinderblock (little indentions) look and have cracking at corners of walls which need repair.

My question is two Parts.

1. How to repair cracks

2. How to get a smooth finish that can be painted

Suggestions would be appreciated.
