My house has an Oxboard OSB floor from 1992 - exposure 1 - 23/32 thick. We just discovered the dishwasher leaks during the wash cycle which results in what seems to be a few ounces of water leaking per wash. No water was ever seen on top of the vinyl floor since that floor ends at the dishwasher. It has been doing this for an unknown length of time. No water ever leaked through to the basement but there is a slight discoloration on the underside of the floor but it's solid and dry.
After clearing out the vinyl floor, 1/8 wood sheet between the vinyl and oxboard, and an adjacent cabinet that had a rotted bottom, there was a stain about 2x3 feet. This stain washed out with bleach and after everything was dried out it looked fine except for a depression in the center of the leak that's about 1x1 ft. The depression isn't that deep - maybe 1/8 inch.
How do I know if the sheet needs replacement or repair? Any guidance or advice would be appreciated.
